Today Mikheil Meskhi stadium hosted Georgian Cup 1/18 final stage between FC Dinamo Tbilisi and FC Saburtalo. Dinamo played with different lineup. Xisco Munoz decided to rest the majority of footballers because of Euro Arena matches. Young Saba Khvadagiani played his first match in defense. Also Victor Mongil played his first match in the season. Dutch Rodney Klooster was in the lineup.
The first half of the match went on with Dinamo’s priority and our team had several moments to score. In the beginning of the match Tornike Kapanadze couldn’t reach the ball after Irakli Bughridze’s pass. After that Bughridze appeared alone in front of goalkeeper but missed the target. In the middle of the first half Pernambuco attacked alone, but failed to score. In the beginning of the second half our rival benefited from disorganized playing of defenders and Gagi Margvelashvili scored. After that Dinamo attacked more, but door log saved Saburtalo after Giorgi Kutsia’s kick. Akaki Shulaia also attacked but in vain. Finally Dinamo lost with the score 1:0 and left Georgian Cup tournament. Dinamo will play the next match on September 24 against Klaksvikar.
