FC Dinamo Tbilisi will compete with Welsh team on Euro arena for the third time. The first match was held in 1976. On September 15 Cardiff City defeated our team in UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup 1/16 final with Adrian Alston’s goal. In the second leg match our team won with the score 3:0 at the reconstructed Dinamo Arena. 100 000 spectators attended this match. Vladimer Gutsaev, Davit Kipiani and Piruz Kanteladze (pen) scored.
In 2011 year Dinamo competed with Llanelli in UEFA Europa league second qualifying round. On July 14 our team lost at Parc y Scarlets stadium with the score 2:1. Davit Odikadze scored with penalty. On July Dinamo defeated the rival with the score 5:0 in the second leg match. It’s worth mentioning that Xisco Munoz scored his first goal in Dinamo in this match. Besides him Albert Yague, Robertinio and Carles Coto also scored.
On September 17 FC Dinamo Tbilisi will play UEFA Europa League second qualifying round against Connah's Quay. The match will take place in Wrexham at Racecourse Ground.
