Today is the birthday of legendary footballer Mikheil Meskhi. He played the first match in Dinamo Tbilisi at the age of 17. Left midfielder played in our team for 15 years in 1955-1970. He scored 76 goals in 356 matches. In 1964 he became champion of Soviet championship and prize man for three times in 1959, 1962 and 1967. Honorable master of sports appeared among 33 best players for 6 times. He played 36 matches in Soviet teams and scored 4 goals. In 1960 Mikheil Meskhi became the winner of the first European championship. He is the star of world football. People specially attended his matches to watch his playing. Misha Meskhi died at the age of 54.
