Kakha Chkhetiani is Dinamo’s new head coach

President of Dinamo Tbilisi Roman Pipia and general director of the club Zaza Dolidze held press-conference at Dinamo Arena Media Hall and presented new head coach of the club Kakha Chkhetiani.

Roman Pipia: We present new head coach of our team. It is a great honor for us to see Kakha Chkhetiani in Dinamo Tbilisi. I would like to thank the Spanish coaches who under whose leadership Dinamo became champion. They wanted to leave and several reasons as well. Xisco did not have the license to work at such a level. We tried to solve these problems, although we couldn’t. Now we have new very good specialist and I express honor to them. We signed two year contract with Kakha and we may prolong it.  Progress and development are essential for us and we express confidence to the new coach. Academy is one of the important projects and we continue working in this direction. Kakha is also interested and we plan to integrate young footballers in the first team. As for legionaries we have bad practice for the last years. The best foreigner who played in Georgia during the decade was Xisco. Besides him we brought more than 100 footballers and their salaries were USD 5 000-30 000, although they didn’t justify our hopes. Besides this footballers refused to play in Georgia because of low level of life in the country. I have been Dinamo’s owner during 9 years and during these years our team became champion for 4 times. Every coach left according to their will and I couldn’t force them to stay. We are also interested in adding footballers from national team and we’ll work in this direction as well.

Zaza Dolidze: “We agreed on a two-year contract and a long-term cooperation plan. We have a big project. Kakha Chkhetiani will take over the whole sport direction of "Dinamo" and will head the academy along with the main team. Our priority is to develop the academy and integrate academy footballers in the first team. Kakha is fascinated by this idea and we plan to achieve our goal together. We will not hide that Nika Ninua has some good offers, including those from the German and Italian championships, but we are going to keep him at this point and only release him when he has the optimal option. As for Levan Kutalia, his contract with "Dinamo" is finished and we are plan to sign a new contract. We have a similar situation with the Spanish legionaries, their contracts have expired and negotiations are underway. Our goal is to create an ideal synthesis of young "Dinamo", experienced Georgian players and legionaries.

Kakha Chkhetiani: “Thanks to Roman Pipia for trust. Coaching of "Dinamo" is a great responsibility and burden and we will try to fulfill our goals and make our fans and country happy. Dinamo Tbilisi has a big potential and we can achieve success if we use this potential. Every club doesn’t have such opportunity. For example there are many talented footballers at FC Torpedo Kutaisi, although they don’t have conditions for development. Young footballers will be integrated in the team. We plan to establish Dinamo-2 where academy footballers will develop their skills. Bringing legionaries to Georgia is a difficult issue as they refuse to play in Georgia. It’s difficult to find good footballers who will agree on Georgian conditions. I want to thank Xisco for this squad. We hold negotiations with several footballers to maintain them and prolong contracts. I confirm that we are in talks with Roin Kvaskhvadze. He wants to change the team and at such times it is better to come with us than to go anywhere else. Let's see how the negotiation process will end. As for Olexander Azatski, he has trauma and was recently operated. So there is a little chance of his arrival in Dinamo.”
