Today is the birthday of one of the outstanding and legendary players of Georgian football and Dinamo Tbilisi - Vladimer Eloshvili. Captain of our team would turn 92 years old today. Eloshvili played in Dinamo 1949-1959. In 1951 and 1953 he received silver medal in Soviet championship. In 1950 he took the third place. He played 162 matches in Soviet championship and scored 3 goals. Vladimer Eloshvili was named among the best players for 33 times. He was given the status of honorable coach of Soviet Union. As a coach (in 1961-1987 years) he trained such footballers as: Aleksandre Chivadze, Vladimer Gutsaev, Piruz Kanteladze, Davit Gogia, Vakhtang Kopaleishvili…In 1967 as a coach he became champion of Europe of youth team.
Vladimer Eloshvili died on November 20, 2009.
