Today FC Dinamo Tbilisi hosted Azerbaijani Gabala FK in UEFA Europa League first qualifying first leg match. The match at Dinamo Arena finished with the victory of our team 2:1.
Gabala players kicked from corner in the beginning of the match. Libor Hrdlicka repelled Rafael’s header. After that our team had territorial and game priority during 35 minutes. Dinamo kicked from corner for several times but in vain. Otar Kiteishvili and Jaba Jighauri had chances to score. On 37th minute Giorgi Papunashvili kicked exactly but the log saved Gabala. After that Zaza Chelidze saved his team. On 44th minute Ricardinho failed to score from short distance. The first half finished. The second half didn’t start well for Dinamo. On 51st minute referee sent of Gvelesiani. Dinamo played with 10 footballers almost during the whole second half. On 61st minute Dinamo arena greeted Aleksandre Iashvili with applause. He substituted Giorgi Kvilitaia. We can say that he played a big role in today’s victory. The game of Brazilian Rene Fereira is also worth mentioning. On 64th minute the host team scored. Jaba Jighauri scored with Giorgi Papunashvili’s exact pass. In three minutes Iashvili had a good chance to score but goalkeeper played well. After that Lasha Totadze kicked with header but Bezotosniy repelled again. On 74th minute Gabala captain C.Huseynov equalized the score 1:1. In four minutes Mate Tsintsadze kicked technically very well but couldn’t score. On 84th minute Libor Hrdlicka entered the ball in the game, Lasha Parunashvili gave pass to Giorgi Papunashvili with header who surpassed the defender with high speed and recorded the final result of the match with very nice goal 2:1. The second leg match will take place on July 9 in Gabala.
