On November 9 exactly 25 years ago Dinamo that played under the name of Iberia became winner of Georgian independent championship for the first time.

It wasn’t easy to become champions. Perhaps you remember we were on the fifth place for some time. This can be explained as every team does its best in the matches against us.
I thank everybody who supported and helped us. Thanks to sponsors, although I want to mention as well that we don’t want to rely only on sponsors; the team must have its own income. You see it’s already several months the stadium is almost empty on the matches. Lack of spectators isn’t the reason of footballers’ low class.”
