Dinamo Tbilisi bid farewell to Giorgi Papava, the captain of the club. The contract between the parties was terminated by mutual agreement.
Giorgi Papava: "Dinamo is a family for me, I feel like home here. I grew up here and became a professional football player and I will always remain a Dinamo fan. This club played a huge role in my life and career. I want to thank Dinamo for all of this. I took a break in my Dinamo career for a while. After my return, I was chosen as the captain. It was a great responsibility and honor for me, because Dinamo is a great club, where many legends have played."
Giorgi Papava started career in Dinamo Tbilisi, and from the 2020 season, he became the captain of the team. The experienced midfielder has played 182 matches in Dinamo, during which time he has scored six goals and provided five assists.
Papava is a four-time champion of Georgia with the club, he has won the Georgian Cup for three times and the Super Cup once.
