Sioma Barkaia competed in Dinamo in 1957-1967. In 297 matches Barkaia scored 108 goals. He was the champion of the USSR in 1964, a two-time prize winner in 1959 and 1962. In 1964, he took the second place among the best 33 football players. He played 2 matches in the USSR national team (against Denmark and Brazil) and scored 2 goals. In 1967-1969, he was the coach of Dinamo Tbilisi.
