The match took place tensely, interestingly and in mutual attacks. In the middle of the first half, the referee gave two yellow cards to Merani player Giorgi Ubilava and the team continued the match with 10 players. At the start of the second half, Dinamo player Giorgi Maisuradze received a second yellow card and Dinamo was left with 10 men. The score was opened on the 50th minute of the match. Lasha Odisharia's pass was responded to by Tornike Mojladze and he hit it with his head from close range to make it 1-0. Rati Kakiashvili restored the balance within seventeen minutes, which was followed by Dinamo's massed attacks. In 10 minutes, Piruz Gabitashvili was introduced and Jaduli Iobashvili, who entered as a substitute, once again advanced Dinamo. On the 77th minute of the match, Iago Deisadze finished off Merani's counter-attack with an accurate shot and the final score was 2-2.
