Dinamo in Georgian Super Cup final

Today, the semi-final match of Georgian Super Cup 2024 was held at Davit Petriashvili Arena, in which FC Iberia hosted FC Dinamo Tbilisi. 

Dinamo started the match with several new players and also won the match with debut goals. This was the first match in Dinamo for our Austrian head coach. Also, 20-year-old Mukhran Bagrationi played on the left wing of the defense.

The match itself started with the advantage of the home team, during which Iberia launched several sharp attacks. Towards the middle of the half, Dinamo established control over the ball and it can be said that by the end of the match, the playing advantage did not slip away. Several intense attacks by Dinamo ended with a penalty kick. On the 40th minute of the match, Nika Sikharulashvili's technical pass to Nika Tsetskhladze, which was caught by the goalkeeper in the penalty area. Tornike Okriashvili executed the penalty exactly, scored his debut goal in Dinamo and won the first half. In the second half, the combination of Nika Tsetskhladze and Oscar Santis is noteworthy, which ended with the shot of Guatemalan football player but the ball was deflected by the goal post. Towards the end of the match, rules were abrogated against Dominic Simon and another penalty was scored by Nodar Lominadze, who recorded the final score of the match 2-0. This was his first goal in Dinamo.

Dinamo will compete with FC Torpedo Kutaisi on July 3 in Georgian Super Cup final.
